Combe Laval Cycle Ride

Saturday 11 July 2009

The hill starts straight out of the town. No chance to warm up. This is the start of the Combe Laval, one of the most spectacular corniche roads in Europe. If you look over the low wall at the side of the road, you see that the drop is sheer for about 800 feet below you.The road winding through the tunnels. After this the road becomes less steep leading to the Col de la Machine, at 1015 metres.
