Midnight Snow

The snow started heavily, just as forecast, at about 5 pm. It did not stop until long after we all went to bed, maybe about 2 or 3 in the morning. In town, the streets were white and impassable, everything stopped. Inside the bars, dancers and drinkers appeared cocooned by the white mist weaving a web around them from the outside in. Trees grew thick and glowing in the street lights.
