Midnight Snow; the Morning After

The falling snow lay like a blanket on my dreams; When I awoke I waited in the dark until there was enough light to illuminate the snow and went out.  The roads had been cleared throughout the night, leaving deep pools of salty, snow-topped slurry to negotiate on pavements, so I went upwards instead to see snow clouds blowing in, and a snowbow threading them together.  The sun just rising behind the hills cast vivid light on the clouds and the reflective land below.
