We flew to Palma with the Airnimals in their suitcases. The journey went well and the taxi we had booked was waiting to take us to Soller, where at a petrol station on the outskirts we met Lola, the housekeeper, who rode a velomoto whilst wearing a leather crash helmet and led the poor taxi driver in his big vehicle through a maze of narrow streets only inches wider than his taxi. She showed us round the house , the great front door slap bang onto the road, with a smaller door inside it which you would normally use. It is a very old house, and historic and full of unusual art and lovely furniture and two open fires
