6,500 KM CYCLE; DAY 35, Turin

Day 35 Turin, Italy. Rest Day

0km. Total 1854km.

Its good to wake up feeling stable and hopeful. In the centre of Turin there is a great fruit market which we penetrate. The fruit and vegetables are very cheap, like 50p for 2kg of tomatoes or red peppers or aubergines.

Friendly encounters include a policeman fascinated by our small chainrings and big sprockets, other people – lots of men, smiling, feeling the saddle, asking where we have come from. There are big airy piazzas arched and cool, and big fluffy pizzas, white oily and garlicky.
