Throughout this long cycle touring journey, I kept a written and a visual diary.  Often camping wild, maybe in isolated locations, it was good to be able to draw and write in the evenings.  Here is a pencil drawing done in a tiny A6 sketchbook of the view of the high Alps from Embrun
