Chamonix
Tried out some different cable cars, train and tram rides. Train to Les Houches, and take the Bellevue Cable Car to the meadows. Where we sit in the grass looking at the glaciers while the tram arrives on its rack and pinions. Its called Anne.
From the top station, we walk up the path towards Mont Blanc a while, and stop to see if Mandy and Phil are coming down yet from their night ascent of the mountain.
They spent last night in two bivvi bags on top of the snow at about 3,500 feet, ready to get to the top early. The tram ride back down was a slow meander through the mountains.
