Walking to the Pub January 30 2010
In the dark and subzero temperatures, we walked to the Hinchcliffe Arms for tea.
Stopped along the way to look at some mini ice falls with crystals and crustles of knobbly clear ice.
As the dark fell it became very cold, about -6
and a giant moon rose up from Withens Reservior.
It was so bright that we did not need to use headtorches, even walking on narrow paths round the far side of the reservoir.
At the pub sat down in the shiny ice crystals to change form winter boots to ballet pumps and , good to go, floated inside for an early bird menu. Recommended!
